  With the increased awareness of the impact of trauma on girls’ lives, juvenile justice and community professionals are beginning to consider what this means in their specific settings.  There is a growing evidence base documenting the impact of relationship violence and sexual assault (as well as other forms of trauma) on health, mental health and behavior.  This Webinar explores the specifics of becoming trauma-informed, as well as the guiding principles for gender-responsive services.

  • Define the terms trauma-informed and gender-responsive

  • Discuss the process of trauma

  • Provide specific examples of effective interventions for girls
