Faith and Communities in Action Webinar Series

Making Dollars and Sense Webinar

Training Summary

MECP has partnered with the Department of Justice’s Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships (CFBNP) to host a three-part Webinar series for faith-based and non-profit organizations on developing sustainable programs. In 2012, the CFBNP published Faith and Communities in Action: A Resource Guide for Increasing Partnership Opportunities to Prevent Crime and Violence, a resource guide for faith-based and non-profit organizations on developing sustainable programs. Each Webinar in this series will feature the authors of this guide and will offer attendees information on strategies and best practices for improving partnerships, building capacity, and effectively applying for and managing grants.  In the third Webinar in the series, Mike Zagury will discuss the foundations for successfully applying for grant funding, the steps required to design an effective and fundable grant budget, and measuring performance for a sustainable program.

  Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the foundations for successfully applying for grant funding

  • Explain the steps required to design an effective and fundable grant budget

  • Describe measuring performance for a sustainable program
